Driving an automatic in Fes and on Morocco’s roads
In Morocco you drive on the right and the rules of the road are very close to those of continental Europe: your valid national driving licence (UK, Irish, EU, US or Canadian) held for more than a year is enough for a tourist rental, with no international permit needed. A few pointers for your first kilometres at the wheel of an automatic:

I booked a manual: can I switch to an automatic?
Yes, on request and subject to availability. Send us a WhatsApp message with your name and your dates: we switch your booking to the automatic version of the same model, or to another automatic model, and we confirm the new rate before the keys are handed over.
Can the additional driver also drive the automatic?
Yes. The additional driver is free; they present the same documents as the main driver (licence held for more than a year, ID, minimum age 21) and must be named on the contract during the hand-over inspection. See our rental conditions.
